No condoms for Africa
I am an angry atheist because Pope Benedict XVI, the leader of 1 Billion people says “You can’t resolve [aids] with the distrubtion of condoms … On the contrary, it increases the problem.”
According to UNAIDS, The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, Three-quarters of all AIDS deaths worldwide in 2007 were in sub-Saharan Africa, where some 22 million people are infected with HIV accounting for two-thirds of the world’s infections.
Dumbing down the science class
I am an angry atheist because half of America wants Christian “Intelligent Design” taught in science classes, even though it is psuedoscience nonsense with no evidence.
Proponents for Intelligent Design being taught in Science classes claim that they just want to teach both sides. They are arrogant enough to think there are only two sides! There are multiple sides, so many that it would be redicioulus to teach them in science class.
What about Muslim creation, Hindu Creation, Bhuddist reincarnation and the countless thousand nonsense creationism fairy tales.
Discrimination
I am an angry atheist because atheists are discriminated against every day in America. Some people in America would actually like to have us killed because of our beliefs. For instance, read this newspaper opinion clipping.
Atheists in public office
I am an angry atheist because it took until 1961 for atheists to be guaranteed the right to serve on juries and hold public office.
Young Earth Creationism
I’m an angry atheist because almost half of americans believe this nonsense; that the earth is only 6000 years old, and the devil just put dinosaur bones in the dirt to confuse us. This is truely detrimental to our society.

agreed… whole-heartedly… I am less angry than depressed though… it's annoying, but more pitiful that anything else… On the brightside, to be religious you almost have to be ignorant, meaning you will not suceed in any meaningful way (i don't consider politics meaningful)
Agreed that you have to be ignorant to the fact, willfully ignorant. But not succeeding in a meaningful way? I have to disagree with you on that point, or perhaps I misunderstand what you are trying to say?
There are plenty of successful Christians.
Chris, I'm afraid you are mistaken. There are many many many religious bigots who succeed just because they are so. Religion, for many, is a key to success. It's a business. Just like, say, prostitution. We may not agree with the fact that ignorance can lead to success, but, unfortunately, many a times in this wicked world of ours, it does. You ask for examples? Oh, but they are everywhere. Take for instance, Mr Tony Blair. He uses religion as a means of making money at Yale University and, in the past, as a means of supporting illegal wars.
Here is another response to Comfort's idiocy. I'm afraid not a "serious" one though.

I must say that those are VERY good reasons to be angry.
My question is…."will anger help us?"
I must say that those are VERY good reasons to be angry.
I too get this question a lot, "Why do atheists even care about religion".
Well, we DO care, and there's a wiki page collecting reasons why we do:

I'm angry because people defend their stupidity with sh!t they've been brainwashed with since birth instead of thinking critically on the issue. And yes, I was sent to 12 years of catholic school; I took AP ('advanced placement') Pre-calc, AP calculus, 2 years AP biology, 2 years AP chemistry, 3 years of tenor sax (and one summer in high school took college-level instruction for college credit tenor sax) and…the required religion class every year.
Complete insult to my intelligence, wasted 80 minutes of my day, every day, for 9 months, having to deal with religion.
